Service never disappoints me. I always order fried chicken wings party size 50pc. I call same day few hours before I need it to pre order and he never says no. Always crispy and always consistent! I've tried the chicken and rice plate and it was also good. I prob would tell them to put the white sauce on the side instead of all over. Always tasting fresh.
I been looking for a place to have a great tasting chicken. And even theres is many restauran with to go or seating, I found out the place for that tasty chicken is NY Chicken, wow. The service is excellent and the employee make sure that I was happy. So, if you looking for a place with good chicken without the luxury then this place is for you. The ambiance is relax and they make sure you will come back.
Brought a 50 piece wing to a party this weekend and they were all gone by the time we left!! This place was a hit!! Had to share the address // business info with some of the other guests. Wouldn't really plan to eat here because it's a little 'greasy' is the best way I can put it... but for takeout...? WONDERFUL.
Food is good, more of a take away type of place in my opinion but always busy. Always go for the chicken over rice covered in white sauce. Steak cheese is always a hit. Fried chicken delicious. Food is halal. Guy behind the counter is great. Always telling us to grab a soda. Open late which is a plus.
Always looking for new places to eat when I head out for a trip to Cabela's in East Hartford. Had to get off 84 a few exits before Silver Lane to get to NY Chicken and Grill, I passed several other ethnic restaurants in the vicinity (Vietnamese, etc). No one else was inside when I ordered, so my food came out fairly quickly. I went with the chicken over rice, with the white sauce over the chicken. Tasty, it hit the spot. Chicken was seasoned perfectly, my only complaint was the pieces themselves were borderline tiny. But all in all, I'd stop back again to try other menu items. A solid 4 Star rating.
The name is attractive, the location is a little sketch, the food is good and the service has been great. It's kinda fast foodie for me, but when I'm out on assignment and in the area and lack a lunch it's a nice place to hit and run. Usually go with the Rice and Chicken combo with extra white sauce.
No frills good value chicken & middle eastern quick food, consistently good and not fancy - food for a quick casual bite. I bring the boys here after baseball practice and they always ask for it. We'll keep coming back for sure!
I absolutely love this place. My go to food items would have to be any of the 12 inch subs, hot wings, or chicken wings. The fries are surprisingly addicting as well. I seem to crave this place pretty often. The prices are affordable and the quality is great. I would recommend the Italian cheeseburger or Philly cheesesteak combo!
Continuing my recent exploration of New York Style Chicken, etc., I ordered a Chicken Cheesesteak and fried wings from East Hartford's New York Chicken and Grill via DoorDash. I live about 15 minutes from NYC&G. I'm impressed that the food held up so well through the delivery process. The wings were not separated and were on the crispy side. That seems like the way to go for delivery since they're less likely to get soggy if they start super crispy. They were also well-seasoned. The Chicken Cheesesteak was great. Before this, I can't think of a single Chicken Cheesesteak that I would choose over even an average Beef Cheesesteak. I'd choose this Chicken over a lot of good Beef Cheesesteaks I've had. I suspect it's the same tasty grilled chicken they use for their NY Style Chicken and Rice. I ordered the sandwich with cheese and "deluxe" style, although I didn't know what "deluxe" even meant. Deluxe sounded better though. ("But Mine Goes to 11" - Nigel, Spinal Tap). The Chicken Cheesesteak included grilled onions and peppers, which I'm guessing is standard. It also included lettuce, tomato and either white sauce or mayo, which I'm guessing are the "deluxe" parts. The bread was fresh and held up well. Every part of the Chicken Cheesesteak was satisfying. Great delivery food. Five Stars.
Prices are reasonable here. Lamb over rice was excellent. Always go with extra white sauce. Falafal sandwich was good as well. Their banana pudding is nice too.
